Command Sgt. Major John Wayne Troxell Proposes Beating ISIS to Death With Shovels

Army Command Sgt. Maj. John Troxell, the senior enlisted adviser to the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, issued a stark warning to ISIS fighters, asserting that the militants have two options: “surrender or die!” The declaration was made in a Facebook post on Tuesday, outlining how far the Joint Force is willing to go to “annihilate” remaining ISIS members.

Troxell has made similar comments, most recently during a USO tour during the recent holiday period.

“ISIS needs to understand that the Joint Force is on orders to annihilate them. So, they have two options should they decide to come up against the United States, our allies and partners: surrender or die!” Troxell stated in the post.

“If they choose not to surrender, then we will kill them with extreme prejudice, whether that be through security force assistance, by dropping bombs on them, shooting them in the face, or beating them to death with our entrenching tools,” Troxell added.

The Facebook post also featured an image as well as the “#ISIS_SurrenderOrDie” hashtag.

Troxell also stated, “If they surrender, we will safeguard them to their detainee facility cell, provide them with chow, a cot and due process.”

He added, “Regardless, they cannot win, so they need to choose how it’s going to be.”

ISIS has experienced significant losses in Syria, including the majority of the territory it previously controlled in the country. The terror group has also been largely removed from safe havens they used to hold in Iraq.

According to a report by CNN, last month, the Pentagon asserted that the US military mission in Syria is going to continue, ensuring that areas that were once held by ISIS have stabilized, adding that a withdrawal would only occur when “conditions” on the ground allowed.
